About: Lies of Locke Lamora is an adult fantasy novel that follows a group of “Gentleman Bastards” as they try to pull of a massive heist. That is until they run into someone who has different plans for them.
Review: This is an amazing book that mixes Oliver Twist and Ocean’s Eleven into a dreary fantasy world. Any more than that would spoil the story.
This is definitely not for those that are easily sick over graphic depictions of torture. There are a couple scenes in the book that can be a bit harsh for those individuals.
Another detail that may get confusing to some readers are the constant flashback scenes. Every other chapter is a scene from Locke’s past.
