Review:
This graphic novel is a great read for anyone that is looking for a superhero comic that isn't the typical Superman hero type. Invincible is a humorous take on the genre while still dealing with some deep topics. Teen changes are a common theme in this and it is handled with care. This is suitable for readers that can handle some bloody scenes and some language.
Extra Credit:
Robert Kirkman is great at hiding little references in this comic. Real bands are featured on shirts, the high school is named "Reginald Vel Johnson High" as an homage to the Family Matters sitcom of TGIF fame, and each of the graphic novels are named after old sitcoms.
